Employing and developing environmental professionals

CEnv, REnvP and REnvTech registrants are highly beneficial to employers of all sizes. They can demonstrate proven expertise, enhance your brand, increase trust and positioning, help to win new work and prove staff competence in legal proceedings. Environmental professionals have a huge role to play in our journey to a more sustainable economy across all sectors - REnvTech and CEnv Employer Champions are leading the way.

Employer Champions support, develop and truly value the environmental professionals they employ and work alongside (REnvP version coming soon). Would you like to work for someone like this?

Or, would you like your organisation to be recognised as an Employer Champion? You're in the right place!

Careers and opportunities

A career working to protect and enhance the environment can be extremely rewarding. Whether you're new to the jobs market, transitioning from a different career, looking for Board positions, interested in environmental apprenticeships or simply looking for a new challenge, you're in the right place!

Connecting education to professional registration

We began a new programme of work in June 2024, creating and establishing connections between education and professional registration (CEnv, REnvP and REnvTech).

Collaborating with our Licensed Members and beyond, we are developing accessible, mapped routes to our environmental registrations that recognise the knowledge and skills developed and demonstrated through the achievement of an educational programme. We're talking apprenticeships, degrees, higher technical qualifications, T Levels, and more.

Environmental apprenticeships

We champion all routes into environmental professions that equip aspiring professionals with the necessary knowledge and experience to begin a successful and rewarding career. This absolutely includes apprenticeships. In fact, we supported the development of the level six Environmental Practitioner Degree Apprenticeship.
