2026 SocEnv Awards nominations are now closed!

2026 SocEnv Awards are now closed for nominations

Designed to recognise those outstanding individuals who have innovated, inspired, and have gone beyond what’s expected in their recent work to protect, preserve, or enhance the environment, there are two prestigious awards open for nominations:

  • Rising Star award – Nominee should be currently registered as a Chartered Environmentalist, Registered Environmental Practitioner or Registered Environmental Technician and be working in their environmental career 10 years or less, regardless of age. Career breaks will not be counted towards this ten-year period.
  • Environmental Professional of the Year – Nominee should be currently registered as a Chartered Environmentalist, Registered Environmental Practitioner or Registered Environmental Technician.

Nominees will be judged on the extent to which they have made a difference while demonstrating an outstanding record in the four main competences across each registration, as well as a fifth criteria that underlines exceptional outcomes since registration.

  1. Application of knowledge
  2. Leadership
  3. Effective communication
  4. Personal commitment
  5. Exceptional outcomes.

Nominations will be judged using the application alongside background information gained from evidence submitted.

The nomination must be drawn from the nominee’s own recent work and achievements and focus particularly on demonstrable outcomes since the 1st of January 2025, which can include ongoing items. The nomination can include examples from beyond formal paid work – e.g., volunteering, and personal projects.

Further details, including the full entry criteria and conditions can be found on each nomination page on Zealous, please read the guidelines in full to ensure a successful nomination
