Environmental Policy Forum

The Environmental Policy Forum (EPF) is a network of UK-based environmental professional bodies promoting environmental sustainability and resilience for the public benefit - with SocEnv acting as Secretariat.

Through regular meetings, workshops and electronic media, the EPF leads on the production of policy papers in order to influence environmental policy and its formulation.

In 2023 the EPF are prioritising work around green jobs/ the cross-sector skills challenge, planning reforms and net zero.

Watch this space for EPF updates and view our past policy submissions and webinar recordings in the meantime for insight and analysis.

Our latest response

In March 2023, SocEnv supported the Environmental Policy Forum (EPF) response to the DLUHC consultation into: Levelling-up and Regeneration Bill: reforms to national planning policy.

With eight Institutions in total signing up in support, the EPF response focused on areas most relevant to our collective expertise and priorities – including the need to recognise how planning proposals can impact on reaching net zero and protecting soil health.
