Our Licensed Members
The first prerequisite to apply for CEnv, REnvP or REnvTech registration is to become a member of one of our Licensed Members.
As an umbrella body, the Society for the Environment does not directly award the Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv), Registered Environmental Practitioner (REnvP) or Registered Environmental Technician (REnvTech) registrations to professionals. Instead, it licenses professional bodies to award the registration to their appropriately experienced and knowledgeable members.
This uniquely allows the Society to bring together a range of disciplines and sectors and reflect the multi-disciplinary practice of environmental professionals. The “Licensed Members” are drawn from a diverse spectrum of sectors including engineering, forestry, science, construction, ecology and waste management. This diversity of choice provides environmental professionals across many disciplines the opportunity to become registered environmental professionals – including Chartership. It is recommended that as an aspiring registrant, you select a Licensed Member that closely aligns with your area of expertise. Your application for registration will be submitted to your chosen body and assessed by their members.
Select the professional bodies below to view useful information about each, including their area of expertise and membership statistics, as well as relevant website links and contact information. All Licensed Members currently offer CEnv registration, with a selection also offering REnvP and/or REnvTech. Registrations offered are noted at the top of each listing below.
