IEMA | Biodiversity Net Gain - Good Practice Insights

IEMA Biodiversity Net Gain

This Insights paper has been developed by the IEMA Biodiversity and Natural Capital (BANC) Network Steering Group to help prepare IEMA members and other stakeholders (including, for example, local authorities, developers or landowners) for the introduction of mandatory requirements in England for developers and landowners to create at least 10% biodiversity net gain (BNG) in November 2023.

In July 2023, the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) published Biodiversity Net Gain – Good Practice Insights – a summary of the stages of BNG and good practice.
