The Value of Professional Registration (including Chartered Environmentalist and Registered Environmental Technician) - Employer Insight from the Environment Agency and Willmott Dixon.

For many, being chartered and/or having professional membership / registration are seen as valuable assets for individuals progressing their careers and for employers looking to showcase their expertise to clients, stakeholders and the public. Why is this? What makes professional membership and/or registration so valued?

We found out the answer to the above questions with the help of two key employers of environmental professionals - Willmott Dixon and the Environment Agency. Catherine Wright is the Director for Digital and Skills, Flood & Coastal Risk Management at the Environment Agency and Martin Ballard CEnv is Group Environment Manager at Willmott Dixon. Both Catherine and Martin will explore the need for chartership and professional membership, drawing from personal experience and looking to the future of the environment sector.
