Soils and Stones | SocEnv Report
In April 2021, the Society for the Environment launched our report: ‘Soils and Stones: Sustaining Our Future By Influencing Change in the UK and Beyond’.
The report draws together the collective expertise of environmental professionals working with soils and stones, from across sectors including construction, forestry, engineering, and agricultural management.
The culmination of sixteen months of tireless work by a dedicated task group, made up mostly of Chartered Environmentalists and facilitated by SocEnv, the report both highlights existing cross-sector good practice, as well as setting out key asks for ensuring this good practice is more widely adopted.
Watch Back: Report Launch
At our launch event, members of the CEnv task group that produced the report discussed its findings and key asks for ensuring the wider adoption of good practice and policy/ regulatory change. The event also featured talks from supporters on why the report is so important and timely - with insights from UK Soils, the Institution of Environmental Sciences (IES) and British Society of Soil Science (BSSS).
