Speakers:
Julie Bhatti is a Chartered Environmentalist and is the Scotland Vice President (elect) for CIEEM. With a background in freshwater ecology, environmental regulation and policy, she has over 25 years experience in the public and private sectors. She is SSER’s Onshore Wind Solar and Battery Lead Environmental Manager. Her remit covers all phases of development, construction and operation of onshore renewables across the Island of Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales. She and her team of environmental advisors are responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and planning obligations at all project and operational phases.
David Linsley-Hood is the Technical and Projects Director for Locogen Consulting. He leads the technical delivery across the full range of our consultancy services, with a specific focus on innovation. He is also Locogen’s Hydrogen technical lead. David is both a Chartered Engineer and Chartered Environmentalist with 20 years’ experience in the development and delivery of complex renewable energy system design, project development, training and consultancy. He has led a wide range of projects across the full project lifecycle for a whole suite of renewable technologies. David has worked as a project manager and project director for a range of Locogen projects crossing various technologies and scales, from the delivery of feasibility, design and construction of the first green hydrogen distillery conversion to technical advice for grid-connected wind farms. David is expert in problem solving system-level engineering issues and has experience successfully securing innovating funding and acting as a developer, consultant, engineer, lecturer and Expert Witness in the renewables sector.
