A 2025 CIOB webinar | Building from the ground up
For too long construction has focused on layout and aesthetically pleasing buildings, but the ground we build on matters too. Jonathan Atkinson CEnv, Technical Director at CL:AIRE, brings his experience of 16 years at the Environment Agency to this webinar. In “Building from the Ground Up”, he explains soil care practices, looks at project flow, GI, layout, BNG, SuDs and explores the idea of circular economy. He also addresses quality control, costs, declarations and the effect on the total project timeline, rounding off with a look at liabilities and who is responsible for what.
Jonathan is registered as a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) via membership of the Institution of Environmental Sciences (IES). He is also an active member of the SocEnv Soils and Stones Project.
