Anya is a Chartered Environmentalist with over 20 years of leadership in the field of carbon and environmental management. She is an experienced auditor and implementer of ISO 14001 environmental management systems (EMS). These have a particular focus on legislation, energy, water, transport, waste, pollution control, carbon emissions and climate change.
Through footprinting and carbon management strategies, she supports clients’ GHG Reporting requirements, helps with compliance under Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) and implements Energy Management Systems to ISO 50001.
Being both a consultant and implementer of systems, she sees both sides and understands the challenges faced, so tailoring advice and activities accordingly. This helps clients actively embed the environment into core business activities and so gives the results that they are looking for: real improvements & commercial benefits.
Anya works with a range of sectors, from micros to multinationals, including in finance, hospitality, manufacturing, construction, IT, broadcasting, aviation, legal, international & local government, transport, training, retail, health & service industry.
Anya holds an MSc in Environmental Management Systems and Auditing. She is a Registered Environmental Auditor, a Lead ESOS Assessor, an accredited Carbon Trust Standard assessor (Carbon, Waste and Water), a registered trainer with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) and a Full Member of the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (MIEMA).
She is Chairman & Interim CEO of Gatwick Diamond Business, volunteers for the Sussex Community Foundation, Vice-Chair of IEMA Sussex & Surrey, and a judge for the national Sustainability Leaders Awards. For adventure and challenge, she rode a classic motorcycle across the Himalayas.
