Issue #8 | Thursday 16th August 2018
CEO and Chair Updates
A warm welcome to the August edition of our e-newsletter.
In this edition the Society's CEO, Dr Emma Wilcox, discusses the continually increasing interest in the Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) registration from employers. Its recognition and need is seen across numerous sectors, which the Society overwhelmingly supports.
Professor Will Pope HonFSE CEnv - Chair of the Society - focuses on a productive 2018 AGM and the items covered. In short, the Society is in a good place financially, committee Chairs and members were confirmed (including Will as Chair of the Society) and the governance review is progressing well.
The Society has confirmed that the Nuclear Institute (NI) have been granted a licence to award its members with the Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) and Registered Environmental Technician (REnvTech) professional registrations.
The Institution of Environmental Sciences (IES) announce that they now offer the Registered Environmental Technician (REnvTech) registration, open to IES members who satisfy the entry criteria and professional competences.
REnvTech registration is open to all Affiliates, Associates or Full Members of the IES who possess a minimum of two years' full-time, relevant, work-based experience and are educated to at least a Level 3 qualification.
