Update From the Chief Executive of the Society
The Society's CEO, Dr Emma Wilcox, takes the opportunity to congratulate newly registered Chartered Environmentalists and Registered Environmental Technicians in her latest update. Emma also highlights the benefits of membership with the European Network of Environmental Professionals (ENEP) stating that it "provides an excellent mechanism for our registrants to build and maintain European-wide connections".

Will Pope HonFSE CEnv Elected as Chair
At the recent Society for the Environment AGM, Professor Will Pope HonFSE CEnv was elected as Chair of the Society for his second spell in the position. CEO of the Society for the Environment, Dr Emma Wilcox, commented; “I look forward to working with our new Chair and drawing from his knowledge and experience to achieve further progression for the Society and develop opportunities for our registrants.”

CEnv Registration - What it Means to a Civil Engineer
Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) member Kate Cairns CEnv is an Independent Sustainability Advisor based in the North East of England. She was awarded Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) status in June 2017 and took some time to tell ICE about her career and why she chose to apply for CEnv registration. Kate states; "Chartered status gives credit to my ambition and expertise in protecting and enhancing our precious and fragile environment."
