Nominations are now open for the 2026 SocEnv Awards

Could you be recognised in 2026 for your outstanding environmental work?

Could you be recognised in 2026 for your exceptional environmental achievements? Or perhaps you know a colleague who has recently excelled in protecting or improving the environment?

We are now accepting nominations for the 2026 SocEnv Awards. These awards celebrate remarkable individuals who have gone above and beyond innovating, inspiring, and making significant strides to protect, preserve, or enhance our environment.

There are two notable awards available:

  • 2026 Environmental Professional of the Year
  • 2026 Rising Star Award

This is an opportunity to inspire future generations, acknowledge the expertise of your peers, and remind each other of our shared mission—to make a positive impact on the environment every day.

Last year, in 2025, two outstanding Chartered Environmentalists were honoured as Environmental Professional of the Year: Robbie Epsom CEnv & Lukas Howell CEnv.

Reflecting on his win, Robbie said:

“It’s an honour to be acknowledged by the very body that supports and validates my professional journey. It reinforces the value of the rigorous path to chartership and the standards we uphold…While individual recognition is appreciated, any achievement in sustainability is fundamentally a collaborative effort... Thank you again for this recognition, for the reinforcement and thank you for this motivational boost to keep pushing forward.”

Also reflecting on his win, Luke said:

“I’m genuinely thrilled to have won the prestigious ‘Environmental Professional of the Year’ accolade. As someone who took a slightly unusual route professionally – I dropped out of college and didn’t go to university – receiving recognition from SocEnv and my peers is something I am extremely proud of.”

2024 Environmental Professional of the Year, Adrian Mill CEnv, Managing Director at ESS (Environmental and Social Sustainability) and CEO at Lion Rouge, explains:

“I’m proud to tell anyone who’ll listen that I have won the award – so people have a point of comparison, I liken it to a Chartered Accountant winning an award for Accountant of the Year, which I find helps people to understand how important it is.

It already has resulted in me being invited to speak in more conferences, which by consequence helps to raise the profile of my companies as well as the environmental causes that I am passionate about.”
