Society for the Environment Board Opens For Nominations

25 March 2019   (0 Comments)

The Society for the Environment has recently completed a Governance review, which now requires a member elected Board to assume full day to day responsibility for running the Society. The Society is pleased to confirm that nominations to join the Board are now open. Could you be a new Society for the Environment board member?

If you are a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) and interested in joining the Board, the Society we would like to hear from you. Successful candidates will bring a wide range of experiences, such as charity/not for profit governance or as part of a Board of Directors. Experience of one or more of the following sectors is desirable: finance, charity governance, marketing, policy, technology, education or international.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new chapter for the Society and a chance to use your skills and experience to further the profession.

To apply to join the Board, you will need to complete a nomination form (MS Word) and have it endorsed by one of our Licensed Bodies. Please send all completed forms to emma.wilcox@socenv.org.uk by 12 noon on 4th April.

The Society’s new Board will be appointed at an EGM on the 24th April, and will take responsibility under the new governance arrangements on the 4th June.

If you have any questions about the nominations process, please contact enquiries@socenv.org.uk.
