SocEnv CEO Emma Wilcox Wins CorporateLiveWire's Best Professional Certification CEO, 2018

Emma Wilcox has won this years CorporateLiveWire Best Professional Registration CEO Award. Appointed CEO of Society for the Environment in July 2015, Emma’s achievements are nothing short of impressive, considering the organisation’s prestige.

The Society for the Environment operates under a Royal Charter to promote the advancement, knowledge, dissemination and education of good environmental practice for public benefit, as well as being the body responsible for registering environmental professionals.

The Society for the Environment has registered over 9,000 environmental professionals to date — a figure that continues to grow year on year. It is Emma’s leadership and vision that keeps the society flourishing. Emma has successfully overseen the growth in number of registered environmental professionals, alongside ensuring that the reputation of Chartered Environmentalists and Registered Environmental Technicians is maintained and enhanced. Furthermore, since starting her role, Emma has been highly involved in ensuring that registered environmental professionals’ collective voice can influence policy.

Emma possesses an impressive repertoire of accolades that prove her to be a professional CEO of excellent standard. She is a fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and a committee member of the European Network of Environmental Professionals, as well as a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10k Small Business Programme. Emma’s strong academic and research background is supported by her clear commitment and in-depth knowledge of public and private sector landscapes in addition to commercial experience. During her career, Emma has successfully demonstrated the ability to combine creative and analytical thinking; leading multi-disciplinary projects and business activities, navigating numerous complex challenges along the way.

The society is in a unique position, bringing together a range of disciplines and sectors to reflect the multi-disciplinary practice of environmental professionals.
