Under Two Weeks Until RWM Opens Its Doors!

With just under two weeks until the doors of Birmingham’s NEC open to some 22,000 visitors, RWM is shaping up to be exactly what was promised: The biggest and best environmental exhibition in the UK.

Opening on the 12th and 13th of September and running along the rest of PRYSM’s Environmental Portfolio, the event will cover not only RWM but Flood Expo, Future Resource, Marine & Civil Coastal Engineering and The Contamination Series to make the most comprehensive exhibition for the environment and the professionals working within the industry. RWM boasts over 500 exhibitors ranging from some of the biggest global brands through to fresh new start ups looking to make an impact on the hugely diverse visitor base. Some of the biggest names appearing across the weekend will be JCB, Mercedes Benz, Toyota Material Handling, Veolia, Viridor, Bunting Magnetics, Dsposal and Orsted. The 16 seminar theatres across the event will play host to 350 seminars and discussions led by the most pioneering individuals within the industry. If it’s business growth you wish to learn about, then the Business Growth Theatre will have the likes of Google Digital and Adtrak leading seminars on how a digital marketing campaign can improve business for the waste industry. If it’s more innovation you’re looking to learn about, then the Innovation Theatre, where Dr. Iza Radecka will be delving into the development of biodegradable polymers to aid in the battle against plastic and Adrian Griffiths will be on hand to discuss how chemical recycling can make sure that recycled plastic is as good a quality as virgin materials. All the seminars will be running all day however it will be first come first serve, so be sure to check the full show guide to help plan which seminars are most relevant and to make sure you have a good seat when it kicks off! 

RWM also boasts a plethora of additional features. With a deposit and refund scheme being run by Eunomia, the event will be looking to tackle its own single use waste through the introduction of a reusable coffee cup sweetened by the fact that discounted drinks will be available to anyone with a reusable cup.

Furthermore, innovation will take a lot of the limelight with Innovate UK sponsoring the Innovation Trail and the Innovation City. The Innovation Trail will be an easy to follow guide through the exhibitors who are leading the pack with their cutting edge work within the recycling and waste industry. Innovation City will be a collection of stands fronted by Innovate UK that will display the incredible work being done through funded research and development! Be sure to talk to Innovate UK at their stand to discuss the possible funding available and the avenues needing to be explored in order to attain it. On top of all this the Innovation Awards will champion the best exhibitors across four sections: Product of the Year, SME Innovation, Circular Economy and Energy From Waste Champion
