Prof. Carolyn Roberts CEnv Discusses "Are We Breathing Harmful Air?"

22 December 2017   (0 Comments)

This week Chartered Environmentalist and Chair of the Society for the Environment's Honorary Fellows Panel, Professor Carolyn Roberts, joined a TV panel to discuss 'are we breathing harmful air?'

Air quality is currently a hot topic with scientists, politicians, campaigners and the media. Earlier this year Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Michael Gove MP, promised to build on this year's the air quality policy proposals, with the publication of a ‘comprehensive Clean Air Strategy’ in 2018. However, the air quality problem crosses borders and is a global issue. So, what are the impacts? And, what can be done?

The panel discussion was broadcast on Roundtable, a topical series on the TRT World channel. Carolyn was joined on the panel by Stan Young, a statistician who’s researching the links between air pollution and health; Andrea Lee, a Clean Air Campaigner for environmental law organisation ClientEarth; and Caroline Russell from the Green Party.
