The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) has opened entries for the Sustainable Future Awards 2026, recognising individuals, organisations and projects driving the transition to a low carbon, resource efficient society.
Now in their fourth year, the awards celebrate leadership, innovation and impact across the materials lifecycle, highlighting solutions that embed sustainability, inclusivity and circularity into real world practice.
Entries are open across six categories:
- Circular Economy (Academic)
- Circular Economy (Industry)
- Sustainable Materials Innovation for Net zero (Academic)
- Sustainable Materials Innovation for Net zero (Industry)
- Inclusive Practices & Social Responsibility
- Sustainable Resource & Environmental Management
Open to individuals, teams and organisations worldwide, the awards are independently judged by a panel of experts and provide a respected platform for knowledge exchange and sector visibility.
The deadline for nominations is 15 May 2026 at 23:59 BST. Shortlisted finalists will be announced in September, ahead of the awards ceremony in London in November.
IOM3 and SocEnv
The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) are licensed by SocEnv to award the Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) and Registered Environmental Practitioner (REnvP) professional registrations to their appropriately experienced and competent members. Find out more:
