We had a record number of entries in the 2024 SocEnv Awards which is an incredible step forward and showcases the number of outstanding environmental professionals working hard to protect, preserve or enhance the environment. The Society for the Environment is delighted to announce the highly deserving and exceptional finalists of the prestigious 2024 SocEnv Awards.
There are two awards up for grabs:
2024 Environmental Professional of the Year
Highlighting the best work of Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv), Registered Environmental Practitioner (REnvP) and Registered Environmental Technician (REnvTech) registrants.
2024 Rising Star
Shining a light on professionals in the early stages of their career who have showcased outstanding work since becoming a registered environmental professional.
The finalists were selected from an array of excellent nominations, received for environmental professionals working in agriculture, environmental management, energy, event management, water supply, transport, waste, engineering, and more.

The winners will be revealed as part of a hybrid celebration event on Tuesday 4th June 2024.
The event will also see us acknowledge the World Environment Day Theme with a dedicated panel discussion with several experts including: Dr Jane Rickson CEnv, Katie Medcalfe CEnv, Professor Ian Barker CEnv and Will Arnold CEnv.
We will celebrate our 20-year anniversary during a panel discussion with special guests who have been involved with Society for the Environment over the years including Will Pope CEnv, Peter Matthews CEnv, Carolyn Roberts CEnv and Dr Emma Wilcox CEnv.
