Event by: IChemE

Event Summary

The International Conference on Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience brings together cross-disciplinary engineers, as well as policy makers, regulators, climate and social scientists, exploring both the strategic drivers and project delivery opportunities which will guide society’s response to climate change. The conference programme is guided by an Advisory Board made up of some of the leading UK and International experts on Adaptation and Resilience, including key individuals from Defra, the Climate Change Committee, The Met Office, and the UK Environment Agency.

Emphasis is placed on the critical importance of systems thinking and collaboration across different organisations and skillsets, driving towards a holistic global response which embraces nature-based and nature-positive solutions, ensuring a just resilience roadmap.

The event will also include plenty of networking opportunities including a conference dinner in the Institution’s historic One Birdcage Walk Library, on the evening of the 14th October. This follows the annual James Clayton Prestige Lecture, which is free and open to all.”
