Event Overview

The much anticipated Resourcing the Future Conference (RTF) returns this year on the 27 – 28 June at the prestigious central London venue, One Great George Street. This year WRAP, the expert circular economy and resource efficiency body, is joining CIWM, the Environmental Services Association and the Resource Association to deliver this important, inspirational event.

Bringing together waste and resource management sector professionals, opinion formers, government ministers and policy experts, RTF 2017 will provide a forum for the sector to come together to address today’s major challenges and help shape the future landscape of resource management.

With a practical focus on day 1 and a strategic emphasis on day 2, delegates will have the chance to input into future plans and have their voices heard, whilst being empowered to tackle future challenges and identify opportunities for change through a range of resources and knowledge sharing activities. Delegates will leave equipped with the valuable insight and direction needed in order to make 2017 a year for change.

Attend and be part of improving the UK’s future resource efficiency and driving forward circular economy practices and initiatives. Follow the conference on twitter #RTF17.

Who Should Attend?

The Resourcing the Future Conference provides the perfect platform to bring together colleagues from across the entire waste and resource management sector and will be relevant to local authorities, private waste management companies, consultants, directors, academics, local politicians, producers, heads of service and anybody involved in the supply chain.

With ministerial keynotes and four key themes – ‘50% recycling and beyond’, ‘Sharing cost and responsibility across the supply chain’, ‘A UK vision for resource efficiency’ and ‘New delivery paradigms’ – this year’s programme is focused both on exploring solutions to today’s challenges on day one, and on shaping the future of UK waste and resource management policy on day two.

Throughout the conference highly interactive sessions will provide ample opportunity for debate, with day one’s practitioner-focused breakout workshops specifically focusing on areas of challenge or change. Topics include new contractual relationships, enforcement and waste crime, future residual waste options and collection consistency.
