The British Ecological Society's policy team, in partnership with the University of York, is hosting a Pie and a Pint night in York.

Doors open at 4pm for 4:30 start.

The event will kick off with short talks from experts with views on what transformative change could mean for conservation in the UK. This will be followed by a short Q and A after which you will get a chance to express your views in an informal setting in the workshop-style discussions.

After the group work, there will be a chance to catch up with colleagues over a free pie and a pint.

A blog of the event and a report capturing the key points and recommendations made by speakers and attendees will be made available on the BES website.

Chair: Prof Chris Thomas, University of York

Confirmed speakers:

· Prof Callum Roberts, University of York

· Rachael Brice, CEO Yorkshire Wildlife Trust

· Dr Ioan Fazey, University of York
