The CIWM London & Southern Counties Centre Council New Member Network is pleased to invite you to attend an open meeting to discuss how the Circular Economy can be applied to the built environment and business.

The current and projected use of resources and materials continues to have negative consequences across the globe. In order to solve this problem, a fundamental shift in how we use resources is required.

The Circular Economy is a systems approach which does away with the traditional linear model of ‘take-make-and dispose’ economy and instead proposes a system where resources are managed in a circular fashion; so that material use is decoupled from economic growth, and materials are used intelligently.

With the EU's Circular Economy Package and the UK’s Waste & Resources Strategy Circular Economy thinking is high on the agenda. But how does it practically fit into the built environment and business, and what can we learn from companies applying these principles? In this event we will explore these topics further and hear more from businesses driving the Circular Economy agenda.
