The world in which we live and work is changing rapidly. Extreme events are becoming more frequent and impactful across the globe and we’re already seeing the impacts of these to our habitats, plants, wildlife and economy. As we continue to operate, many of the business models we work with will cease to function. As a response, governments, local authorities, businesses, NGOs and academics are increasing their calls to declare a #ClimateEmergency.

But whilst Climate Change brings significant risk to our current way of working, it also brings many opportunities if we respond in the right way. Those companies that invest in climate change mitigation and adaptation will become more resilient to its effects. We can tackle climate change successfully if we act now and together to cut emissions, enhance resilience and create a better world.

In this event, organised by the IEMA Sussex and Surrey Regional Network and hosted by Merlin Entertainment, you'll hear from leaders in the sustainability field on the opportunities that are starting to be presented from climate change, and how you can use innovation to secure the benefits to us and our surrounding environment.

Featured speakers:

Dare Ilori (MIEMA) Group Head of Sustainability, Merlin Entertainments
Sandra Norval (FIEMA) CEO, Bluedotaug Ltd
Marc Jourdan, IEMA Policy and Engagement Lead
Anya Ledwith (FIEMA) ESHCon
Jase Brooker (MIEMA) Head of Environment, Govia Thameslink Railway
