How can we create sustainable homes for the older generations, with a focus on community and wellbeing?
The IEMA Futures Network is hosting an event during Mental Health Awareness Week in May to explore this and what’s being done already.
Our key speaker: Professor Rose Gilroy of Newcastle University, is the founding member of the Future Homes Alliance - an innovative housing development project that is guided by the core values of sustainability, accessibility and community-building.
Communities are at the heart of sustainability and wellbeing, so with the population ever-growing and living for longer, there is a great need for action in order to face the physical and mental health needs of the individual in a more sustainable future.
This is a great opportunity to engage, learn, and meet with the IEMA Futures Network. So, whether you’re a student, graduate or young professional and have an interest in environment and sustainability issues, we’d love to see you there.
Registration will begin at 5:30pm for a 6pm start.
