Mineral Polymers are a bit weird!

These are polymeric materials made entirely of inorganic material feedstocks (no oil).

They have a lot of the characteristics of normal plastics but some very surprising differences. For a start, they're fireproof and chemically inert.

But a whole lot more than that. The largest thing is a voracious appetite for absorbing pollutants, which has roused the interest of the automotive, air conditioning and housing sectors. Oh and also the Mayor of London.

Come and hear more of what these are, how they work and how they might be the key part of our transition away from oil.
