An Institute of Agricultural Management Event

The future goal posts for agriculture and food in the UK seem to be shifting almost by the day over the last 12 months. Not least, with the issues that are arising out of the decision to BREXIT, there is the challenge of labour, market access, R & D funding and future support to farming/food production. At the same time, customers and consumers still asking for farmers to keep a lid on food inflation.

The supply chain is still consolidating at all stages. The trend towards UK sourcing is still strong. All this makes for a dynamic situation and one in which we all need to as well informed on as we can. And be good, if not excellent, managers of our businesses.

The IAgrM Question Time style event at the Farmers Club on Thursday 16th November is designed to give you the opportunity to:

  • Ask questions of the panel of industry leaders, who are from across the supply chain, on their views on future opportunities for and how we combat threats to UK agriculture/food production.
  • Take part in the debate, have your say and potentially influence others during the formal session and the discussion that will take place after the event.
  • Above all educate yourself so as to help to plan change and development of your business.
  • Meet with your fellow professionals and share experiences.

The panellists who have already confirmed they will be taking part in the Question Time style event are:

  • Minette Batters
    • NFU, Deputy President
  • Will Gemmill
    • National Head of Farming and Eastern Regional Chairman, Strutt & Parker

    • Dairy farmer and Board of Representatives Member, Arla Foods
  • Emma Penny
