|Environmental Professional of the Year|
For the past three years we have recognised the outstanding achievements of individuals through the Chartered Environmentalist of the Year award. This year, we are delighted to announce that our award has been expanded to include Registered Environmental Technicians as the Environmental Professional of the Year Award. We have partnered with ENDS to present the Environmental Professional of the Year at the inaugural ENDS Environmental Impact Awards.
The award celebrates an individual’s exceptional commitment or major achievement where their professional practice has made a real difference to protecting, preserving or enhancing the environment and advancing the principles of sustainability. Past winners have included David Stubbs (CIEEM, 2013), Professor Martin Bigg (IEMA, 2014) and Dr Lucinda Gilfoyle (IWater, 2015).
By entering, and ultimately winning, you will have an additional mark of excellence to sit alongside your Chartered Environmentalist or Registered Environmentalist Technician. All current SocEnv registrants are eligible to enter. If you know someone who should be celebrated for their achievements, or want to nominate yourself for the award, please download the application form and submit it below!
The award is judged against the nominees application of their knowledge, their role in leading or supporting sustainable management of the environment, effective communication of sustainability issues and their personal commitment to professional standards. Particular weight will be given to specific examples of key involvement in a significant project that has been instrumental in its success, an innovative approach to problems and challenges and significant personal responsibility for documented successes.
The winner will be decided by our Honorary Fellows Panel.
There's no fee for entering, but we do ask that you keep Thursday 4th May free to attend the awards.
The deadline to apply is Monday 20th March.
