Coventry and Warwickshire Green Business Programme Offers Support to SMEs
09 January 2018
The Coventry and Warwickshire Green Business Programme is supporting and promoting energy and resource efficiency and the adoption of low carbon technologies to SMEs within the Coventry and Warwickshire region.
The support offered by the Green Business Programme to SMEs for the adoption of low carbon and sustainable technologies includes grants for purchasing equipment for new to market low carbon products and third-party costs incurred when commercialising products.
- Equipment for the production of Low Carbon related products
- Renewable energy equipment to reduce energy usage
- Intellectual property protection costs.
Grants are also available for the installation of energy efficient items such as LED lighting, heating upgrades and building management systems. Expert advice, workshops and energy audits are additional options available from the Green Business Programme.
The Green Business Programme is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund and is delivered by Coventry City Council, Coventry University and Coventry University Enterprises Ltd.
As an organisation based in Coventry, the Society is always pleased to share opportunities from local providers.
What’s in it for Chartered Environmentalists and Registered Environmental Technicians?
If you are a registered environmental professional in the Coventry and Warwickshire area working for, or managing, an SME you may be eligible to receive a grant to further improve the energy efficiency of your organisation.
Alternatively, as many Chartered Environmentalists work on a consultancy basis, you have the opportunity to recommend the benefits of the Programme to your clients, which could prove to be a handy cost saving if grants are involved.
