In lieu of the United Nations World Environment Day 2017, the Institute of Water, South East Area, invites you to explore the reality that the 2017 theme of:
“Connecting People to Nature – in the city and on the land, from the poles to the equator”
…it's just too expensive! And time-consuming. And unnecessary with the emergence of virtual reality. And bad for our health. And hey, if America doesn’t have to, why do we? And with Brexit, we don’t need to follow those pesky European laws either. The sacrifices required to connect to nature are unrealistic and unnecessary. For one evening, our esteemed speakers will all role-play & present from an environmental philistine standpoint to convince you to...

The event will be hosted by Head Philistine Chris Offer, Director of Regulations and Corporate Affairs, Affinity Water, who will be joined by:
- Paul Rutter, Head of Innovation, Thames Water
- Ceris Van De Vyver, Chief Scientist, Panton McLeod
- Dale Hartley, Head of Strategy & Business Development, Sapphire Utility Solutions Ltd.
The day will consist of a series of lively presentations, followed by an energetic debate, between the environmental philistine’s vs a panel of secret environmental advocates, led by Mandhy Senewiratne, Fyrefly Global Sustainability.
Adjudicated by Martin Baggs as “THE JUDGE” the winners of the debate will be determined with a little help from the audience.
