Here at the Society for the Environment, we understand that it is always better to hear from those who have gone through the registration process. We therefore decided to offer the perspectives of a current Registered Environmental Technician (REnvTech) to give a first hand account of why they took the step to register.
In this webinar, we will hear from Process Controller at Anglian Water, Steve Coles REnvTech. Steve will discuss why he does what he does, what encouraged him to become an REnvTech, how registration has helped him along the way and touch upon future plans. He is passionate about the environment and is keen for others to get more involved.
Steve will be joined by Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) David Mann, a Regional Support Manager from the same company. David is a Member of the Institute of Water, registered as a CEnv in 2014 and is a keen advocate of professional registration.
This webinar is a fantastic opportunity to gain an understanding of what it means to be an REnvTech, from an REnvTech, as well as finding out how professional registration helps the individual and the organisation. You will have opportunities to ask them both questions, or simply sit back and take it all in.
The Society's Marketing Executive Phil Underwood will also be on hand to provide guidance how to begin the application process for REnvTech registration and what is required.
We look forward to you joining us.

Steve was initially encouraged to become a Registered Environmental Technician because it was a nice way to tie in his personal and professional interest in the environment. He also saw it as added leverage within Anglian Water to advance his role as Biodiversity Champion. Steve gained his REnvTech registration through the Institute of Water in 2015.
